"This may be one of the most powerful smokes on the planet. I have
much of a box aging, because I feel like a was killing them 3/4 of the way through because
I'm about to pass out."

You've Heard The Rumors, Now Taste
The Exquisite Reality of the Camacho Corojo!
Read What Cigar Aficionado Wrote About These Cigars
This cigar - the new flagship in the Eiroa family's line -
has been the subject of rumor and speculation for quite some time. It's here now - and we
can tell you from our own taste tests that it may be the best cigar to ever to come
out of Honduras' legendary Jamastrán Valley. Especially at these prices! Here's what the
Eiroas say about their labor of Corojo love:
| " Camacho Cigars (Churchill Size) was best known for
being Winston Churchill's favorite cigar, according to Roy Howell's "Simply
Churchill", 1965. Back then, the cigars were made with 100 % Corojo Seed, grown in
Cuba. "The Corojo Seed from Cuba was the rarest and most expensive tobacco seed
available, which was grown exclusively at Diego Rodriguez's farm, Santa Inez del Corojo.
It is reported that the Corojo crops were discontinued in Cuba in 1987 with the
development of the PR (Pinar del Rio) Seed. |
|
Corojo was discontinued in Cuba and everywhere else
because of the low wrapper yields making it unprofitable for growers and manufacturers.
"We at Tabacos Rancho Jamastran believe that low yields and high costs should not
substitute quality! Our consumers deserve nothing but the best available at an accessible
price. If it was this Cuban Seed which produced the greatest classic Cuban cigars, why
change it? "The Camacho Corojo uses only 1st generation Corojo Seed. This first batch
of Camacho Corojo is made from a crop grown in 1997 in the Jamastrán Valley. The
Jamastran Valley is located on the eastern border of Honduras. This valley was first
discovered by Tino Argudin and Angel Oliva in the early 60' s.
Angel better described the Jamastran Valley as the most equivalent area in the world to
Cuba's Vueltabajo Valley, in Pinar del Rio, for growing tobacco.
"Camacho Corojo is AUTHENTIC in its genetics, taste, quality, raw material, blend and
tradition. Not only are the Camacho Corojo Cigars made with the finest leaf but also the
tobacco has been fermented for over 2 years before being rolled and then aged, box
pressed, for an additional 9 weeks, they are packed. Although you may choose to age your
cigars further, they are already fully matured and ready to be enjoyed by you..."
Sincerely,
Julio and Christian Eiroa
